For me, the night is liberation. In a similar way that I find the use of technology in my work liberating . And when intertwined with imagination, it becomes a tool to dream. This work is an alternative exploration of the Night as a woman, prioritizing a liminal, magical landscape that incites awe and creates a poetic sense of openness. This state of enjoyment is radical, given the darkness that lurks within the night for a woman. This exhibition also reflects on memories and embodied experiences that soothe states of loneliness, an integral part of being an immigrant body in a foreign land. They reconnect us to our roots while building a sense of belonging and appreciation for this place—allowing me to spread outward indefinitely.
